Animal Therapies

Equine Bowen

Equine Bowen is an excellent remedial therapy. It can also be used to help bring  your horse to competition fitness.
As with the human Bowen treatment, it is gentle and non-invasive.

You may consider(*) the use of Equine Bowen for
  • back issues
  • restricted movement
  • compromised stride
  • loss of power
  • pain
  • swelling
  • emotional issues.

Whilst there are no contra-indications(**) to an Equine Bowen treatment, we recommend that your horse is not shod or vaccinated 2 days before or after a treatment and that your horse is allowed two days field rest following a treatment.

Animal Therapies

All animals can benefit from complementary therapy in the same way as humans. By using Kinesiology with a 'Surrogate testor', it is possible to find out how best to support and encourage your animal's innate healing abilities. There are many ways to help support the healing process including the use of colour, sound, suppliments, essential oils or perhaps a Touch For Health energy balance to help address their issues.

(*) NB:
Whilst complementary therapies may provide relief and support for your animal, your vet is always your animal's primary health carer. It is a legal requirement that
permission is obtained from your vet prior to treatment.
(**) Please inform your practioner if your mare is in foal, as certain moves will be omitted.
